Battle of the Boyne
July the first
In Oldbridge Town
There was a grievous battle
By cannons that did rattle
King James encamped
But King William
Threw his bomb-balls in
And set them all on fire
Battle of the Boyne
Brave boys be not dismayed
Battle of the Boyne
For the loss of one commander
Battle of the Boyne
For God will be our King this day
Battle of the Boyne
And I'll be general under
Thereat enraged
They vowed revenge
Upon William's forces
That they would stop his courses
A bullet from the Irish came
And grazed William's arm
They thought his Majesty was slain
It did him little harm
Battle of the Boyne
Brave boys be not dismayed
Battle of the Boyne
For the loss of one commander
Battle of the Boyne
For God will be our King this day
Battle of the Boyne
And I'll be general under
When we the Boyne began to cross
The enemy they descended
But few of our brave men were lost
So stoutly as we defended
Gentlemen mind your station
Before this Irish nation
Battle of the...
Battle of the Boyne!
Battle of the...
Battle of the
Sulphur and smoke
Darkened the air
And the elements
Did thunder and roar
(Battle of the Boyne)
Brave boys be not dismayed
(Battle of the Boyne)
For the loss of one commander
(Battle of the Boyne)
For God will be our King this day
(Battle of the Boyne)
And I'll be general under
When we the Boyne began to cross
The enemy they descended
But few of our brave men were lost
So stoutly as we defended
Our subtle foes we'll scatter
This day at the Boyne Water
Battle of the...
Battle of the Boyne!
